The Houston Generals have been dealt a minor blow ahead of the weekend fixtures with the news that all-rounder Ravi Patel has suffered a Grade 1 hamstring strain.
The injury occurred during a high-intensity fielding drill on Tuesday morning. Scans confirmed the strain, and the medical team has advised a two-week rest period.
“It’s unfortunate for Ravi as he was in great form with both bat and ball,” said the team physio. “However, it’s not a major tear. We expect him back in full training before the final round of league matches.”
In his absence, young all-rounder David Lee is expected to step into the playing XI.
